This Desoto, KS project had several components including an addition to the side of the home and an interior remodel consisting of a master bath renovation and front entry conversion into a bedroom closet.  

The home addition extended the master bedroom as well as a second bedroom.  Piers were added to support the new structure.  A concrete slab was poured, and closets for both bedrooms were framed.  The new master closet has double entry doors, a custom built bench with cubby storage, and natural lighting.  Closet 2 is now quadruple the size of the original!  A third bedroom in the home also gained additional closet space as the front entry was repurposed.  To complete construction, existing drywall was removed and a new opening was framed leading to bedroom 3.  Siding was reworked where the exterior door was eliminated.  Similarly, a new opening was framed from entry foyer to front porch.

The master bath renovation was the final stage of construction activity.  Here, existing flooring, vanities and tops, tub surround, and soffit were removed.  A custom tile shower, heated tile floor, new countertops and sinks, and new vanities with a linen cabinet were installed.  The adjacent hall bath also received new tile flooring and a new tile surround with soap niche at the tub.
